General information

Royal Dutch LV Logistics is originally a Dutch family business (founded in 1921 as J. Lensveld & Sons). Over the years the company has grown into an internationally operating logistics service provider with over 30 branches worldwide. Because of the knowledge and experience of our employees, LV Logistics is seen in the market as a strong and reliable partner in the field of logistics around large-scale on- and offshore energy projects.

LV Caspian opened in Azerbaijan in 2014. Our head office in Baku, Azerbaijan is responsible for the entire Caspian region. LV is now the largest logistics service provider in Azerbaijan.

Job description / activities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provide legal advice on contract terms, risks, and obligations
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations
  • Advise on legal matters related to corporate governance, intellectual property, and labor laws
  • Assist in managing litigation processes and coordinate with external legal counsel as necessary
  • Prepare legal claims and documentation for court proceedings
  • Advise departments on the legal implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel to HR, finance, operations, and sales departments on daily legal matters
  • Support the business with compliance audits and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate legal records, including contracts and correspondence
  • Ensure proper filing and timely updates of legal documentation
  • Handle and resolve legal disputes or claims, aiming for amicable resolutions
  • Liaise with external legal teams when needed

Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Master’s degree or additional certifications in Law is a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in legal practice, preferably within a corporate or logistics environment
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, labour law, and corporate law
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in legal document drafting and review
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail with strong ethics and integrity
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and English
