Job Title: Graduate Transport and Heavy Lift Engineer (Out-of-Gauge & Heavy Transport and Lifting)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan (with travel to ports, borders, and project sites as required including overseas)
Job Purpose:
The Graduate Transport and Heavy Lift Engineer plays a key role in developing LV Logistics future specialists in out-of-gauge (OOG) and heavy transport and lifting operations. The role is designed for young engineers who will receive structured technical and practical training to gain expertise in planning, analysis, and execution of complex transport and lifting operations. The graduate will contribute to project preparation and gradually develop the ability to independently handle engineering tasks in compliance with the company’s HSQE and operational standards.
Development Objective:
This position is part of LV Logistics Caspian’s talent development program, aimed at producing the next generation of specialists in OOG and heavy transport and lifting.
Through structured mentorship, field exposure, and project participation, the graduate will develop skills in:
- Engineering design and method statement preparation
- Route and feasibility studies
- Equipment configuration, load calculations, and lifting analysi
- HSQE and regulatory compliance in project logistics
The ultimate objective is for the graduate to progress into a Transport and Heavy Lift Engineer position within 2–4 years based on competence and performance with a very competitive package and bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in LV Logistics’ internal training and mentorship program on heavy transport, lifting engineering, and HSQE procedures.
- Apply AutoCAD and similar software for layout transport drawings, route surveys, and lifting plans.
- Understand load distribution, center of gravity, and structural stability principles relevant to heavy and OOG transport.
- Develop familiarity with the use of trailers, SPMTs, cranes, spreaders, and rigging equipment.
- Support project team in preparing method statements, transport drawings, lifting studies, and risk assessments.
- Assist with load calculations, trailer configurations, and stability evaluations
- Help prepare detailed route survey reports and technical documentation for customer submissions.
- Observe real-life OOG and heavy lifting operations to understand practical applications of engineering design.
- Document field activities through photos, drawings, and field reports
- Support coordination between the Project and HSQE departments to ensure safe and compliant execution of projects.
- Assist in maintaining the engineering documentation database (drawings, method statements, survey reports, and equipment records).
- Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement in processes, templates, and documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Transport Engineering.
- Strong Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Final-year students or fresh graduates with strong academic performance may be considered.
- Understanding of basic mechanical and structural principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
- Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning.
- Fluent English, Azerbaijani, and Russian.
