Royal Dutch LV Logistics is originally a Dutch family business (founded in 1921 as J. Lensveld & Sons). LV Logistics Georgia is a part of Royal Dutch LV Logistics, with offices in Tbilisi and Poti. The internationally recognized freight forwarder is hiring an Operations Manager.

Responsibility for the management, coordination, and control of all activities associated with Tbilisi Office Operations, overseeing on-site Transportation, ensure all material movements are conducted effectively and efficiently without compromising HSSQE requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategy for the operations team to promote growth within the company, through realising current and future business opportunities.
  • Plan, schedule and review workload and manpower to ensure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.
  • Lead and oversee of all day-to-day operations within the department to ensure that the services being provided are organised and in accordance with the local and international legislation and operations is running in smooth manner.
  • Liaise with Customs, Port Authorities, Carriers, Agents as and where necessary to ensure that all rules and regulations are being followed properly.
  • Monitoring and reporting of key performance parameters to ensure department is running as efficiently as possible with budget planning, people and equipment resources planning, people development and training.
  • Manage performance of suppliers and develop them by raising their HSSQE and Compliance standards.
  • Ensure transit time requirements are minimized and achieved in line with customer requirements.
  • Establish and implement reporting requirements for various departments to monitor progress on KPI.
  • Communicate Customer mission, vision and targets and setting objectives for the team to achieve.
  • Communicate and oversee implementation of critical customer contractual requirements in daily operations.
  • Ensure all customer requests / queries are handled effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Identify potential problem areas that will or may affect the supply of services and take necessary remedial action to mitigate such problems, provide process improvement recommendations.  Plans, schedules and reviews workload and manpower to ensure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.
  • Responsible for staff planning, build up team, give proper training and task assignment to team members.

Required Competencies

  • University Degree
  • PMP / PRINCE2
  • DG Cargo Certificates
  • FIATA / IATA / CILT
  • Chartering
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (Georgian, English – must; Russian – desired).
