Key responsibilities of our Transport Coordinator:
- To assist in the management and smooth running of the network, dealing with the daily issues concerning customers, drivers and depots with a specific emphasis on customer needs and expectations.
- Assisting with driver compliance, vehicle servicing compliance & defects.
- Planning, co-ordinating and prioritising incoming orders for collection and delivery to ensure specified timings are met.
- Liaising between drivers, fellow network members, and external customers.
- Effectively dealing with any vehicle/driver scheduling issues.
- Plan available resource for collections and deliveries to maintain customer service expectations.
- Fully brief drivers regarding duties; including collection points, delivery points, pallet quantities, weights and any special instructions.
- Liaising, briefing and debriefing warehouse and administration teams.
- Providing daily operational KPI’s.
- Ensuring customer’s delivery needs are met.
- Effectively resolving any customer complaints / service failures.
What we are looking for in our Transport Coordinator:

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and internal systems.

The role includes cover for night trunk despatch shift 9.30am-6pm, this will be required during holiday & sickness periods.
The successful candidate will be a member of a small team and report directly to the UPN Manager. This role is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary from £25k subject to experience. Typical hours are 9am to 5pm.
