Riemen has a broad background in logistics services and supply chain management. Among other things, he was previously CEO of Broekman Logistics for 22 years and was once named ‘port man of the year’ in his hometown Rotterdam.

In his new role, Riemen will lead LV Logistics in the Netherlands. He will also be responsible for the further growth of the organisation within the European Union. LV Logistics is headquartered in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands.

Originally a Dutch family business, LV Logistics has grown into a logistics service provider with a global network of 33 offices with over 600 employees, complemented by an extensive agent network. The company has a total of 230,000 m2 of storage space (both owned and leased) and had a turnover of €250 million in 2022. Due to the knowledge and experience of its employees, LV Logistics is seen in the industry as a strong and reliable partner in logistics around large-scale projects.

The company has a strong ambition to continue growing in the coming years, by attracting new staff, acquisitions and seizing opportunities in chain integration and the transition to new and green mobility.

With Raymond Riemen as the new managing director for the European Union, LV Logistics hopes to accelerate further growth, according to Mark van Herk, CEO of LV Logistics Group.

Mark van Herk: "We are extremely happy that Raymond is joining our organisation. Raymond is known in the logistics and transport sector as someone with good management qualities and a very extensive commercial network. With his knowledge and experience, combined with his personal qualities as a team player and connector, I am convinced that he can accelerate the further growth and development of LV Logistics in the Netherlands. In addition, we see growth opportunities for our organisation in Europe, in which Raymond will also take a leading role."

Raymond Riemen says he is looking forward to the new chapter in his career.

Raymond Riemen: "I have known the company LV Logistics for a long time. It's a family business with a long-term strategic vision. LV Logistics has a strong ambition to grow and I hope to make an important contribution to that, both through potential acquisitions and organic growth. I have the necessary experience in that area. By optimising processes and generating new business, also by attracting specialists, I think we can make significant steps. Furthermore, like me, LV Logistics believes in sustainable partnerships with customers and relationships as a way to create value within the supply chain. That approach suits me and that is how I have always worked in the past. Furthermore, LV Logistics is a warm organisation, which is also important to me as a person. I strongly believe in the power of cooperation."
