In 2021, the World Nuclear Association (WNA) provided a ranking of natural uranium producing countries, where Uzbekistan took 5th place. At the same time, only one enterprise in the country mines and exports uranium - the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine. The republic does not have its own nuclear industry and exports all the low-enriched uranium it produces.
